[Solved]Problems on resume from suspend

A month or so ago, I decided I wanted to upgrade my Lenovo Yoga 2 11" laptop to testing. I know that the best way to do this is to reinstall, but I decided to at least first take a chance on changing my apt sources and doing a dist-upgrade first. This was successful except for one common but intermittent problem. When I resume from sleep, I get a blank screen. Keyboard and touchpad don't wake it up. Ctl-atl-backspace will wake the computer up, however. It resumes and takes me to the LightDM login screen. When I login, however, X has not been restarted. Everything is exactly as I left it. This is an easy solution to the point that I'm not planning to reinstall (especially since I see that there are still some challenges with the EE isos), but there's nothing like a system that works just like it should :D . Would anyone have any ideas on where to start troubleshooting this?

Code: Select all

@solydxk:~$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
#stable: comment these out for testing
#deb https://repository.solydxk.com solydxk-9 main upstream import
#deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian stretch main contrib non-free
#deb http://security.debian.org stretch/updates main contrib non-free
#deb http://httpredir.debian.org/debian stretch-backports main contrib non-free
#testing: comment these out for stable
deb https://repository.solydxk.com solydxk-ee main upstream import
deb http://debian.mirror.ac.za/debian/ testing main contrib non-free
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian stretch-updates main contrib non-free

Code: Select all

solydxk:~$ cat /etc/os-release
PRETTY_NAME="SolydXK"
NAME="SolydXK"
ID=solydxk
ANSI_COLOR="1;31"
HOME_URL="https://www.solydxk.com/"
SUPPORT_URL="https://forums.solydxk.com/"
BUG_REPORT_URL="https://forums.solydxk.com/"
solydxk:~$ cat /etc/debian_version
buster/sid
Thanks in advance for any advice!

light locker seems not working at this time. you can either disable light-locker or use the workaround. the workaround is using ctrl+alt+F2 to trigger the screen. after the screen is turned on, you can use ctrl+alt+F7 to resume your desktop

Thanks a lot. I'll give that a try also.
