good news. this issue seems not replicable on every system. well...at least, not mine. the reporter seems still unsure about the cause of the issue. perhaps it's a glitch on his side. AFAIK the renaming process is done by systemd so perhaps it's not network manager fault. well...since it's related with systemd I think you can ignore this bug. just make sure to create a backup :3

Wget reports expired certificates on hosts with certificates that appear to be fine. This turns out to be a GnuTLS issue (expired root certificate).

I got this message:

Code: Select all

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-5.7.0-1-amd64
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/rtl_nic/rtl8125a-3.fw for module r8169
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/rtl_nic/rtl8168fp-3.fw for module r8169
Fixed it with:

Code: Select all

su -
cd /lib/firmware/rtl_nic
wget https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/plain/rtl_nic/rtl8125a-3.fw
wget https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/plain/rtl_nic/rtl8168fp-3.fw
update-initramfs -u -k all

in these days debian tends to postpone those realtek drivers into the repo. the kernel seems updated regularly but those drivers always comes several days later. fortunately, nothing is broken since they're newer device and doesn't affect installed system at all.

should we just ignore these issues?
