Remove Firefox

Postby xendistar » 26 Jul 2019 18:30

I am running the latest soldyx ee iso on my PC, I want to uninstall Firefox and the Firefox solydxk adjustments but when I try, it wants to install Firefox-esr. I have tried this in synaptic and from the command line and it the same in both case. Why?

How can I simply uninstall Firefox?

Did you try to only remove the adjustments? I think that mechanism is caused by the adjustments package but I'm not sure.

If that doesn't work I would remove firefox and accept installation of ESR and then try to remove ESR afterwards. Why? Because ESR is a debian package and should not have any "special" behavior.

And I think this is a bug.
