Most recent update failed

Postby albert.wagner » 10 Mar 2018 16:51

Most recent solydx update failed with this message:

Code: Select all

Error while installing package: triggers looping, abandoned
Also: Why does my registration periodically disappear?
I just had to re-register and was forced to use a different user name.

@update: Yeah me too. schoelje has to look into it. Please don't reboot at the moment, leave the system as it is, until he comes over.

@registration: No idea. Nothing serious, will be fixed. Let's handle the update problem first.

This accounts for why over 200MB downloaded in a few minutes. :o
I used the GUI "Discover" built in updater. It just gave the normal system is up-to-date notice.

I think I'll go back to command line updates.
As warned I will not reboot until the problem is addressed.

Testing using 32bit SolydK
Pentium Dual CPU E2220 2Gb memory
Geoforce 8400 using Nouveau driver

My update failed also, and I got the same message. When I tried again using apt, I also got a message to run autoclean. After I did, it appeared the update finished correctly- "appeared" because I haven't rebooted yet, and won't until tomorrow when I'm awake... :-)

I might have overreacted about the not-rebooting but better save than sorry. Schoelje will upload a fix sometime this day .

I've moved all packages from testing to production (main).

All our packages now use pkexec to get root permissions. It includes other updates discussed in this forum.

I couldn't repeat this issue with this version of solydxk-system. So I hope this solves it for everybody.

Worked for me. I removed the warning.
