live-installer - partition sizes times 1000

Postby grizzler » 23 Jan 2019 16:51

Did a special install (on hardware) this afternoon and saw some strange partition sizes. Test in a VM showed the same thing. That's with the 22 January version of the installer.

Edit
Not sure what's up with the forum software. It claims the first image is no longer available and then displays it and omits the second...

I removed the inline attachments and added the only attachment available and now it works.

Can you explain what's wrong with the sizes?

[Edit]
I guess the GiB should be MiB, etc.

Look at the numbers. A 315.3 TiB partition, plus two 19.6 ones and a 14.1 and a 218.2 one? That would be one massive drive! Not to forget the 1.9 TiB USB stick...

Only the 4.0 GiB swap is correct.

I've uploaded a new live installer.
psutil was the culprit here and removed it altogether. Now, the sizes show the same as in gparted.
Building new ISOs now.

[Edit]
ISOs built and uploading now.
This is GParted and the Live Installer on the new SolydX ISO:
