Wireless re-connect problems

Postby chowell8 » 21 Sep 2013 07:03

Hello, all.

I'm having issues with auto-reconnecting to my home wireless network with each reboot. The first time I connect, everything works correctly. However, upon reboot, my wireless home network connection remains in a "waiting for authorization" state and will not connect. In order to establish connection again, I must go to Manage Connections, delete the record of my previous connection, and re-connect as if I'm connecting for the first time. I'm sure this isn't normal, so does anyone know why I would be having this issue?

If any additional information is needed, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

have you kwallet actived?

Code: Select all

ps ax | grep kwallet
you must see:
...? S 0:01 /usr/bin/kwalletd
... S+ 0:00 grep --color=auto kwallet

in connection manager, you must have automatic connection checked. you can also check system connection, something like, in french:
temp_nm1.jpeg
normally, you must have a window of kwallet for ask you your user pass, and after, network manager can connect to wifi.

After having no problems for a week, it appears that the issue was that KDWallet was turned off. I had originally turned it off as a recommended tweak in another post, but I have now re-enabled it. Thanks for the suggestion!
