dig is no settings, it's just query to find where are the problem. don't be afraid ;)
for googledns, if you have always problems for surfing, you can use, that is settings.

So, what did my 'dig' terminal outputs reveal? Nothing to be concerned, I hope.

imho, the updated cannot do that...
except if you FAI now run the servers with solyd :)

I joke, if the servers of your Internet service provider was run with solyd, everything would be better. :)
