Solydk9 edit Wireless Connection

Postby eikko » 19 Jul 2017 07:42

I have a new installed Solidk9,
where can i edit my Wireless-Connections?

K-Network-Manager shows no available WLAN,
only WICD lists all Wireless-Connections,
but this is not in Default-Installation

The recommended way to configure wireless network definitions is through a networkmanager client, for SolydK9 typically the 'kde5-nm-connection-editor', which you can start from the commandline or by left-clicking the wifi-icon in the system-tray and clicking the wrench at the upper right. Does this work for you?

I think this topic belongs in the Network section:-)

This happens in Deb 9 because systemd is in a different state after installation than Deb 8 was. Here is the fix.

Thank god for this thread. I re-installed SolydK last weekend and tried 4 different dongles and none of them worked. The suggestion in the link above did work and now I am back up and running!
