DKMS fix/enable graphics tablet drivers to install

Postby Deleted User 2781 » 22 Jul 2018 12:37

Hi :-)

I use an Ugee 2150 display tablet with Krita, and for those using Ugee, Huion, XP-Pen, etc, there is an issue regarding DKMS in the kernel; the fix below solves that, and then the Digimend deb file can be installed successfully.

https://github.com/DIGImend/digimend-ke ... stallation ... half way down the page details the issue and fix, but, in a nutshell:

Don't install the Digimend deb file.
Run the following in the terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo sed -i -e 's/\<unset res$/res=()/' /usr/sbin/dkms
Install the latest Digimend drivers (deb file) ... Nicholas, the Digimend developer, said to run it via

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg -i digimend-dkms*.deb
[open the terminal from within the folder where the Digimend deb is]
Reboot, and everything works!
