gnome-do_0.9-1+rpi1.debian.tar.xz
gnome-do_0.9-1+rpi1.dsc
gnome-do_0.9.orig.tar.gz

sudo apt-get install gnome-do_0.9-1+rpi1_*.deb
Part 2

Step 1 Download Gnome-Do Plugins
gnome-do-plugins_0.8.5-2_all.deb

Step 2 Install Package

Code: Select all

sudo gdebi gnome-do-plugins_0.8.5-2_all.deb

I took the time to backport this for a forum user not knowing it required patching to compile. The sources provided below are already patched and should compile fine.

Thanks very much crborga, it worked for me.

The mass of dependencies that were installed, I am guessing that they have more to do with the compilation tools than Gnome-Do?
I that were the case I am good for compiling other programs I may need from source that are not on the solydxk repo.

Once again thanks for the clear instructions, and the download source (4shared I did find a little challenging to access, but I got there in the end).

There's always the chance with a different package that there will be a different list of build dependencies that you will have to accommodate. For example, glade requires quite a different list from that needed for darktable.

Ok thanks for that, clever stuff that "apt" does on our behalf then.
