I don't use what I consider a sid distribution per se, but rather, I use debian updated to sid repositories. I must say that I have two installs of sid, one with xfce desktop and mate desktop. The mate desktop seems to be running better with fewer problems. But really, both are quite usable.

I am also running a Debian install tracking sid. I am also running a virtual machine with SolydK tracking sid. It has been my impression that this cycle has progressed much more smoothly than the previous one.

Two metal Solyd-Sids here, one K, one X, both 64. Very smooth.

For a "Sid Distro", I'd pick Siduction, unless you meant what's my favorite distro with which to track Sid. I'm unqualified to answer that as I've only ever tracked it with Solyd.

I bet zerozero and wayne still have Sids stashed away in their treasurehouses... :D

Ya never know...

I have "VSIDO" running as my "production" Sid, loving it. I use Siduction kernels. I prefer them to Liquorix ones now.

I am going to wait until the "new" mixture takes effect here; and then I will get a new Testing iso (EE is that right) and probably track that to Sid.

I've been having some great fun playing around with some of the Sid mixes at LinuxBBQ. Those guys are crazy!!! :) They have got one great mix with over 50 !!!!!! window managers on it to try. "Pony Muncher" is my favourite of their flavours.
cheers,

ATM i have only one SolydX VM tracking sid
overall it's a well-behaved kid  but lately it developed some problems:
- the upgrade of systemd to 215 is not going smooth (i'm not typing from it from journalctl spits errors after errors)
- gtk3.14 caused some visual weirdness even using oxygen-gtk
- at some point lightdm wouldn't let me login but that was user error and restoring lightdm.conf solved the problem

I consider that machinebacon and all of the crazy people at LinuxBBQ knows a lot about sid and how to mix repositories from different debian based distros to make sid work. The article: "From Debian & Co. to BBQ" has been my reference ever since.

by the way Siduction, specially the KDE spin. KDE has always been sid-prone.

lxqt? I tried that siduction flavor but didn't liked it too much. I mean lxqt. I prefer Razor by far.... Now I just got Siduction Razor and KDE. About to run two new VMs.

They have it all. Gnome, KDE, LXQt, RazorQt, Xfce...

The mirror at University of Delaware is closest...

"PaintItBlack" is the current LXQt release:

Razor-qt and LXDE have merged in a single wm called lxqt. Best of both worlds.

I cannot mount the GuestAdditions iso in Siduction-rqt. It was a breeze in Siduction-kde, but I tried everything I know and anything else I've found about mounting CDs in Debian but nothing worked. What I am missing? Any ideas?

Not really. My problem is not with VirtualBox, my problem is mounting a CD or a CD image.
