Re: ISO testing 201410
It's either that or install mintInstall.
Currently there are no differences. So, there is no reason to maintain a SolydXK specific version.
I am slowly changing all our software to a more generic solution. This way other distributions can more easily adapt that to their needs. I have done this also for mintInstall. I only want to leave configuration packages for SolydXK because they are very specific. I also hope to attract developers this way because doing this alone is not the ideal situation (for SolydXK and me personally).
softwaremanager and solydxk-softwaremanager have identical code, only the branding has changed and the installation directories. You would have had the some problem if solydxk-softwaremanager was installed and it probably would have been resolved if you reinstalled softwaremanager instead of solydxk-softwaremanager.
In this case it's just a bug: softwaremanager is a python2.7 application, not python3. I will look at that when the time comes.

Re: ISO testing 201410
New ISOS were uploaded to dev:
- live-installer updated with several translations.
- softwaremanager was replaced by the old solydxk-softwaremanager.
Re: ISO testing 201410
I confirmed installer of new iso at once.
I want to revise some sentences, but may I carry it out?
But this is not a big problem. It may be released as the present.

You can upload the the changes to GitHub. They will, however, not be included in these ISOs (it takes a lot of time to build and upload them).balloon wrote:I confirmed installer of new iso at once.

OK, I take time for the next release slowly and carefully and make modifications.Schoelje wrote: You can upload the the changes to GitHub. They will, however, not be included in these ISOs (it takes a lot of time to build and upload them).
There is no point to be worried about remarkably elsewhere.

Re: ISO testing 201410
SolydK64-201411, perfect install! Smooth sailing, Thank you Schoelje, really like the new installer!
So incredibly boring!
I know it's been tough, to understate the issue you've been busting butt for a long time trying to smooth things out.
Ya done good.

I haven't had time to look at conky.MAYBL8 wrote:Was this fixed in the isos:

Re: ISO testing 201410
Total smoothness in English (SolydK32). Gonna try a second install in Spanish. 64 bit will follow.
This likely means that your installation is broken. -Mr Pixbuf.

Re: ISO testing 201410
The same for the second install.
BTW. I'm happy with the installer translation, but not too much with the system translation. It's not very es_ES. It's more es_somewhere-in-south-america. But I guess this doesn't depend on SolydXK and more in KDE and LibreOffice, isn't it?

I have no influence over any translation packages except for our own software.Snap wrote:The same for the second install.

Re: ISO testing 201410
the live-installer in the 201411 development ISOs continues to install without a problem 2+ SolydXK-64bit occurences in different partitions on the same computer. a mission impossible for me with 201407 installer.
plymouth-on-nvidia works flawlessly as well, in both live session and installed system.
good.
