Problem with SSH client

Postby marianof2000 » 14 May 2013 12:21

Hi everybody
I'm trying to use ssh client. (solydX 64 up 06/05/13)
for example

$ ssh user@ip (this is a local network IP)
ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer
$

I'd try with other distros and everything is working OK.

Any ideas???

Than's in advance.

This error can be caused by a gazillion reasons, but let's start by getting us a more verbose output:

Code: Select all

ssh -vT login@ip

Instead of "Write failed", I'd expect "debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS received".
This looks like a permission issue: the received key needs to be saved, but it can't.
Here my knowledge stops, but it should help you to compare your system's permission with the VM's permissions.

Exactly, now compare the permissions for /home/marianof/.ssh with /home/test01/.ssh
I'm just guessing here, I really don't know what I'm doing. :?
