No further problems here (but I still don't have enough time to do any serious testing... :( ).

All these features are in there for some months now. I haven't heard any major issues (none if I'm correct). So, there is no hurry testing it. I usually start testing and debugging when I actually need the feature.

I'll wait a bit with moving the packages to the main repository until there is a decision on whether we are going to add the stretch-updates repository as well.

Edit: No, it's not just me.

I tried to install todays point release and ran into an error, the updater said something about "trigger" and "loop" and requested dpkg --configure -a. I don't know whether it's just my system but I think you need to have a look at this, schoelje.

Code: Select all

A third run of sudo dpkg --configure -a resulted in nothing.
I'm running a 4.12 kernel from liquorix so maybe it's just my system ... I will try to switch from amdgpu to radeon later but atm I'll leave it as-is for debugging. I can also fall back to standard kernel but atm I won't reboot.

Please, try to install the version from testing. I bet it'll fix this issue.

/etc/apt/sources.list

Code: Select all

deb http://repository.solydxk.com solydxk-9 main upstream import testing
Then:

Code: Select all

apt update
apt install solydxk-system
After that you can remove "testing" from sources.list and run

Code: Select all

apt update
If this fixes your issue, I'll upload the package to the main repository.

Done. How should I check whether the problem is fixed? sudo dpkg --configure -a already returned nothing before updating solydxk-system. Is there a way to check whether the initram stuff is now configured correctly?

I've moved all packages from testing to production (main).

All our packages now use pkexec to get root permissions. It includes other updates discussed in this forum.

I couldn't repeat this issue with this version of solydxk-system. So I hope this solves it for everybody.

SolydXK System Settings produces conflicting entries in /etc/apt/sources.list
I was setting up a VM of SolydK-ee this morning and used SolydXK System Settings to choose the fastest mirrors. After making my choices and clicking save mirrors I noticed a faster mirror for Debian, so I selected that one and saved mirrors again.
When I went to the terminal and ran sudo apt update I noticed 2 distinct repo's listed for Debian. To see if this was a fluke I opened a new session of SolydXK System Settings and did the same thing with the solydxk repo's, first choosing one, saving, choosing another and saving again. Running apt update again I indeed had 2 repo's contacted for Debian and 2 for solydxk. this time there was an error

Code: Select all

Conflicting Distributions http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/repository.solydxk.com solydxk InRelease (expected solydxk but got solydxk-8)
As a check I switched to my SolydK-9 (metal & different machine) and repeated the steps, with the same results.
Correct me if I am wrong but this does not appear to be the expected behavior.
If more information is required I will be back in a few hours, I need to do some food shopping.

In a command terminal, ruin the following command and post back the results:

Code: Select all

inxi -r
This will give a listing of your sources.list.

My sources look normal. Just the stretch-updates repo added.

@schoelje: Could you please update this post https://forums.solydxk.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1529 in the sources thread?
