Logitech Marble Trackball Mouse not working in SolydX 9(SOLVED)

Postby lappets » 12 Jan 2019 22:22

In SolydX 8 I added information to the /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf file about the device and it worked ok but when I try the same in SolydX 9 it's not working

This is the output from inxi -Fzx

you can start with checking whether if it detected by using "lsusb" command. if it got detected, check the driver

Result of lsusb command

lsusb
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:c408 Logitech, Inc. Marble Mouse (4-button)

How do I check the driver ?

lsmod should do the job. if everything is ok, next you can try to configure the mouse/trackpad options.

Thanks. It's now working.
I added the following text to the top of the file /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf then logged out and in again

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "Marble Mouse"
MatchProduct "Logitech USB Trackball"
Driver "libinput"
Option "ScrollMethod" "button"
Option "ScrollButton" "8"
Option "MiddleEmulation" "on"
EndSection
