Hello from a new SolydX user

Hello all,

I am new to SolydX, but not completely, because my previous distro was Linux Mint Debian. I very well new that I would eventually switch, and as my former distro was no longer supported. And since the latest version basically forced me to reinstall, I felt 2019 was the time for me to make the jump.

It's fun, because I've found on this forum people who once were on the Linux Mint forum--and helped me there: Zerozero, GeneC, Kurotsugi, and probably others--not forgetting a certain Schoelje.

I really appreciate my first weeks with SolydX. Of course, from Debian Jessie to Stretch, I could expect big improvements. But unsurprisingly, some little things no longer quite work as before... So, expect a few stupid questions soon!

I've been using Linux Mint Debian from 2011 to 2018 without reinstalling anything, so I hope to be there until 2026 at least!
