We are working on releasing the new ISOs but every day some new improvement comes up ... anyway, these ISOs here https://downloads.solydxk.com/nightly/ are already good to use. Any day now :)

Arjen has an update script here viewtopic.php?f=78&t=7537#p70116 which some users successfully used. Nobody complained, so go ahead. No guaranties though and backup your data first.

the magical realm of debian means that a separated upgrade isn't needed. neither is reinstall. solydxk becomes buster when it got released. you can either use debian's procedure or use aforementioned script above. the iso is needed for reinstall. you can upgrade your system anytime you want :3

I tried (i follow the steps in the Arjen update script at viewtopic.php?f=78&t=7537&start=20 ). My experience was:
  • apt purge exim4*
    apt purge openvpn
    apt purge clamav fleshclam
I have not chromium or waterfox or gdebi
I followed also the debian chapter about upgrading at https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/ ... ng.en.html and a note about "5.1.5. Migrating from legacy network interface names" (I didn't fully understand the steps, I tried without success, my interfaces are wlan0 and eth0 yet).

So after apt full-upgrade, my laptop freezed, maybe caused by this bug: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=7549 (Laptops with hibernate need swapsize = ramsize even if they have 64GB), or by this https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=917124, I don't know.

At the restart, my boot was compromized, so needed to start the system by grub cli and completed the upgrade

Now my system id SolydX 10 based on debian buster, but the boot is compromized yet and I'm not able to fix it, so all the time I have to start the system by grub cli.. I'll ask help in another post..
